Minecraft Cake

 You guys.

Dude turned 14 a few weeks ago.  Though I can see my kids get older and taller and voices start to change, the birthdays always surprise me.  

I mean, 14?!?

It seems just yesterday he was my 4 pound baby!

As he’s getting older, themed birthday parties are a thing of the past.  This year, invited a couple close friends

to the movie theater  a few days after his birthday.  

On his actual birthday, we were exceptionally busy with extracurriculars and went out to eat at his favorite restaurant.

He requested his favorite: chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, but had no idea how to decorate it.

Eventually he let Spud take over the planning who suggested recreating Dude’s Minecraft avatar.

It was a simple design that made my boy smile!
