Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and I love making themed Valentine meals!
This year’s pick is an easy side that can accompany just about anything! Making pasta? Garlic knots. Pizza? Garlic knots. Steak because you live in a houseful of men? Garlic knots.
I actually made Garlic Knots once before in the early days of blogging. They relied on canned biscuit dough and while they were good right out of the oven, they quickly became dry and tough and left a bit to be desired (I never made that version again).
Using homemade pizza dough, however, yielded an entirely different result. I just made a handful of garlic knots this time around and used the rest for pizzas, but the knots I made were quickly gobbled up by hungry boys!

Garlic Knots
Recipe from Simply Recipes
1 recipe easy pizza dough
⅓ cup butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
3-4 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Salt, to taste
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F and heat a pizza stone in the oven.
Make the pizza dough according to recipe instructions. Divide the dough into 1 ½ ounce pieces. Roll into thin logs and tie into knots. Alternately, form into heart shapes.
Place the knots onto the hot pizza stone. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until browned.
Stir together the garlic butter ingredients. Once the knots are done, brush the butter over the knots and serve immediately.
Well, who doesn't love garlic knots?!! Happy Valentine Day to you and the guys Amy.
