Cookies 'n Creme Rock Fudge

I was playing with my food again.

I took Cookies ‘n Crème Fudge (which is super delish, by the way) and made it into some pretty convincing looking rocks and sent them with the boys to a cub scout event.

My boys had tons of fun tricking their friends into thinking they were eating rocks, but that’s not all the these rocks were meant for –

Here’s a sneak peek – check out my post at Amy’s Confectionery Adventures for all the details!

Cookies ‘n Crème Rock Fudge
Adapted (slightly) from Hungry Happenings

24 oz white almond bark or candy melts
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
Pinch of salt
¾ cup oreo cookie crumbs, divided
1 tsp cocoa powder
¼ cup graham cracker crumbs

Place the almond bark, sweetened condensed milk, and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat.  Cook, stirring frequently, until the candy is melted and smooth.

Remove from heat and stir in ½ cup of cookie crumbs.

Divide the fudge equally between 4 bowls.  Set one bowl aside.  Stir the remaining ¼ cup cookie crumbs into the second bowl, the cocoa powder into the third bowl, and the graham cracker crumbs into the fourth.

Cover the bowls with plastic wrap and allow them to set at room temperature for 30 minutes or until they are cooled and no longer sticky (alternately, place them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes).

Remove small amount of fudge from each bowl and form into rock shapes.  Enjoy within 3 days.

  2. So after I removed the mixture from the stove top, a puddle of oil formed. This made it difficult to work with. I'm also a little nervous because I plan to use these on a decorated cake

    1. Hmmm...I hope it sets up for you. Could it have gotten to hot during the melting phase?

  3. Thank you so much for this crazy wonderful idea! I've been making fudge for years and this never even occurred to me! I made a cake that looked like a campfire and put these "rocks" around it. Perfection (they looked so real)! Thank you again!
