While I always love a good garlic toast,
sometimes I just want something a bit lighter.
Cue Pita Chips! These are a bit
lighter than garlic toast and the perfect accompaniment to salads or dips.
Toasted Pita Bread (Pita Chips)
4 pita rounds
Extra virgin olive oil
Garlic salt
Black pepper
Preheat the oven to 400
degrees F.
Cut the pitas into 6 wedges
using a pizza cutter and place on a baking sheet. Lightly brush one side of the pita wedges
with olive oil. Sprinkle with a pinch of
garlic salt and flip.
Brush the other side
lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle with a
pinch of garlic salt and a pinch of black pepper.
Bake for 5-7 minutes or
until lightly browned. Serve with hummus
or with a Greek Salad (coming Monday!)
Sounds good.
