Here’s a cake to love this Thanksgiving!
An adorable turkey cake!
There’s no real recipe for this one. I baked a cake in 3 6-inch layers (chocolate, because that’s how we roll around here) and frosted in chocolate frosting.
Then, I added 2 yellow candy melts as a beak. I melted yellow and red candy melts and used a spoon to make feather shapes on a silicone mat lined baking sheet (parchment would also work), slowly mixing the colors as I went to get shades of orange. Once hardened, I added the candy feathers to the cake. Finally, I used extra chocolate frosting to make additional feathering.
This cake is sure to be the centerpiece at your thanksgiving dinner!
