Here’s a fun Halloween after school snack (or dessert!) It relies a bit on artistic ability so I don’t want to call it easy…but it does take just a few no-bake ingredients, so there’s that!
My favorite Halloween movie has always been It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Probably mostly because I’m a huge chicken and don’t like scary things, but also because it’s one I grew up watching and love sharing with my own kids.
So when I came across and idea for a snack inspired by the movie I was sold! I made these for my kids…who had trouble figuring out the silhouette of Snoopy *sigh* (at least Hubs got it right away), but it made me happy anyway!
Great Pumpkin Pudding Cups
Adapted from Party Pinching
4 chocolate snack pack pudding cups
6 oreos, crushed
4 nilla wafers
4 orange Starburst candies
4 green jimmie sprinkles
Edible food marker
Divide the crushed oreos over the pudding cups.
Use an edible marker (found at craft stores) to draw a Snoopy silhouette on the Nilla wafers. Place on the pudding cup.
Unwrap the Starbursts. Microwave for 5-10 seconds or until soft. Mold into a pumpkin shape, using a toothpick to make the lines. Place a green jimmie on top as a stem. Place next to the Nilla wafer and serve.
Very cute idea Amy and I think your Snoopy is perfect.
