Happy Pi Day!
I always love a punny math holiday and an excuse to eat pie!
Today’s offering is simply my regular apple pie recipe (Fall Leaf Apple Pie) but with a different crust suggestion!
For this version, I cut the top piece of crust into strips and braided half of them. Then I took my braids and my strips and weaved them into a pretty lattice pattern.
Finally, I took the crust remnants and cut leaf shapes out to make the border. It isn’t an overly difficult design, but the braids add just a bit more wow to make this one a show-stopper!
