It’s not summertime without a fantastic burger recipe! Plus today it’s Nation Burger Day!
Today I decided to play around with some gourmet burger
toppings, pairing up homemade chipotle mayo/fry sauce with provolone on the
burgers.
They’re so delicious and perfect for those hot summer
grilling days!

Gourmet Burgers with Chipotle Mayo
Burgers
1 lb ground beef
1 egg
Salt & pepper
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Toppings
Provolone
Thick cut bacon, cooked crisp
Lettuce
Lettuce
Buns
Preheat and outdoor grill to medium heat.
Mix together the burger ingredients. Divide into 5 patties, creating a small divot
in the center of each one to ensure even cooking. Grill until fully cooked to an internal
temperature of 165.
During the last 5 minutes of cooking, split and butter the
buns, place them face down on an upper rack of the grill. Place cheese on the burgers to melt.
Gourmet Burgers with Chipotle Mayo
Celebrate National Hamburger Day with Gourmet Burgers with Chipotle Mayo!
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg
- to taste salt & pepper
- dash worchestershire sauce
- chipotle mayo
- 5 slices provolone cheese
- 5 slices bacon
- 5 leaves lettuce
- 5 hamburger buns
Instructions
Preheat and outdoor grill to medium heat.Mix together the burger ingredients. Divide into 5 patties, creating a small divot in the center of each one to ensure even cooking. Grill until fully cooked to an internal temperature of 165.During the last 5 minutes of cooking, split and butter the buns, place them face down on an upper rack of the grill. Place cheese on the burgers to melt.
To serve, generously spread chipotle mayo over the burgers and top with lettuce & bacon.

This looks yummy- I put egg in my chicken burgers but never beef- I will have to try this and of course I had to click over to the chipotle mayo, since that is what sold me- yum!
