Today is #TripleSBites Day 3!
It’s tradition in my house to
make steaks for Valentine’s Day. I hate
fighting the crowds at restaurants, I love cooking, and steak is Hub’s favorite
meal. It’s really no brainer.
When I saw Chai Sweet Chili Sauce from Intensity Academy, I knew
immediately that it was destined to be a steak marinade. Combined with the Fresh Cilantro Cottonseed Oil from Acala Farms, the steaks took on a slightly Asian vibe, so I paired
with vegetable fried rice for a delicious meal!
Hubs and Dude both highly recommend
a dash of soy sauce on the steak to really take it a cut above!
Chai Sweet Chili Steaks
1 lb sirloin steaks
6 oz Intensity Academy
Chai Sweet Chili Sauce
½ tbsp butter
½ tbsp Acala Farms Fresh
Cilantro Cottonseed Oil
Salt & pepper, to taste.
Place the steaks and Chai
Sweet Chili Sauce in a large zipper bag.
Marinate for 4-6 hours, flipping occasionally.
Heat a cast iron skillet over
medium-high heat. Add the butter and
cottonseed oil and heat until the butter is bubbly. Swirl the pan to coat, and add the steaks. Discard marinating sauce.
Cook on medium-high for 2
minutes or until seared. Then, reduce
heat to medium-low and flip, cooking to preferred doneness. Sprinkle steaks with cilantro, salt, and
pepper to taste. Serve with fried rice
and a dash of soy sauce.
