Sometimes I have to wonder if
my children are completely normal.
You see, they refuse to eat
pizza. Even cheese pizza, unless it’s of
the cheesy breadstick variety.
I’m constantly making new and
different versions of homemade pizzas trying to tempt their picky little
palettes.
Then I made the Super Soft 45 Minute Breadsticks and a light bulb went off.
The breadsticks were the absolute perfect base for my boys’ favorite
cheesy breadsticks! Success!
I’ve since made these two
ways, with leftover breadsticks and fresh breadsticks. Both are nice quick options, though if you’re
in a weeknight pinch, method 1 is lightning fast.

Leftover Super Soft 45 Minute Breadsticks
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Mini Pepperoni
Method 1:
Preheat the broiler to high
and place a rack directly under it.
Space the leftover
breadsticks on a rimmed baking sheet.
Sprinkle each breadstick generously with mozzarella, followed by mini
pepperonis.
Place the tray under the
broiler for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melty and beginning to
brown. Serve hot with your favorite
pizza sauce.
Method 2:
Immediately after baking a
fresh pan of breadsticks, sprinkle 2-3 cups of mozzarella over the top, followed
by mini pepperonis.
Place back in the hot oven
and bake for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Tear along the perforations to serve with
your favorite pizza sauce.
Wow those look soooo delicious! Definitely bookmarking and giving these a try :)
