When my friend’s daughter
recently celebrated her 3rd birthday, she had a Dr. Seuss themed
party. Specifically, she requested Thing
1 & Thing 2 Cupcakes with swirls!
Here’s what you’ll need to
make these cupcakes:
1 recipe Sour Cream Chocolate cupcakes
1 recipe Vanilla Buttercream
Blue sugar sprinkles
Red Cupcake Liners (found at
Michael’s)
1 batch of Royal Icing, tinted
blue
Bake and frost the
cupcakes. To make the swirls, cut waxed
paper into small squares. Use thin royal
icing to make a swirl shape on each piece of waxed paper. Dry flat for at least 24 hours. Just before serving, peel the swirls off the
waxed paper and push gently into the cupcakes.
These are so cute - they look great! I love these and I love Dr. Seuss! :)
